“On his small estate, Juan is interrupted by the unusual song of a motmot bird, which announces a premonition of death. The misfortune is fulfilled with the loss of his voice. Manuela, his daughter, embarks on a search to rediscover him, through an intimate narrative that explores the past, the new facets and silences of a man who is no longer the same.”
"Disfonias" is my debut documentary short film.
This project allowed me to experiment with post-production techniques, blending archival footage with mixed media to create visuals that evoke deep emotions. The film primarily explores the possibilities of altering memories and harnessing the power of sound to recreate past scenarios.
Since its release, "Disfonias" has gained international recognition and has been showcased at film festivals around the world
